How to Use Your GRYP Wrist Straps

Wrist straps help you maintain grip during pulling movements, so your grip doesn't give out before your target muscles do.

  1. Thread the strap: Pass the tail of the strap through the loop to create a circle around your wrist.
  2. Position on the wrist: Slide the loop onto your wrist and tighten so it sits snugly.
  3. Position the strap: Place the tail of the strap between your thumb and index finger for optimal grip alignment.
  4. Wrap around the bar: Place the tail of the strap under the bar (or dumbbell), then wind it around 2–3 times in the direction of your grip.
  5. Grip and lift: Close your hand over the wrapped bar and begin your lift. The strap will lock in as tension increases.
  6. Release safely: After your set, open your hand and unwind the strap from the bar before setting it down.

Best used for: Deadlifts, rows, pull-ups, lat pulldowns, and shrugs.

How to Use Your GRYP Wrist Wraps

Wrist wraps provide firm support during heavy pressing and overhead movements. Follow these steps to get the most out of them.

  1. Position the loop: Place the thumb loop over your thumb to anchor the wrap in place.
  2. Wrap around the wrist: Wind the wrap firmly around your wrist, just below the wrist joint. Aim for 2–3 passes for a secure fit.
  3. Adjust the tightness: The wrap should feel firm and supportive — not so tight that it cuts off circulation. You should still be able to flex your wrist slightly.
  4. Secure the velcro: Fasten the velcro strap to lock the wrap in place.
  5. Remove after your set: Loosen and remove the wraps between sets to maintain blood flow.

Best used for: Bench press, overhead press, push press, and other heavy compound lifts.
